AWF "BREAK OUT" TOUR

Friday October 9, The Cube, Campbelltown NSW

Review courtesy KarlDourif from AWF Forums.

Every time the AWF comes to The Cube it gets torn apart with so much action and excitement, that fans can’t contain themselves. Tonight was not any different. AWF bought the combustible elements. The 541 fans in attendance were lit up with excitement, and the two were ready for the explosion that would occur. What a night.

Heavyweight Hit Out: Blakestone vs Krackerjack
Poor Krackerjack, he had to resort to quite a few cheap shots to go up against the mammoth Blakestone. Even Tony Kebab aided Krackerjack unintentionally when Blackstone was on the turnbuckle. By pushing Tony into the ropes, poor Blakestone fell down and had the worst low blow of the night on the ropes that will make any guy go for an ice pack. But Blakestone being tough as they come continued the match and ended up seeking vengeance by delivering the Fireman Release Slam for the count.
Winner: Blakestone

AWF Tag Team Championship 4 Way Elimination:
Two changes were made. One was Toxin was replaced by Rigga Mortis. The second for ONE NIGHT ONLY The Gosford Giddyups decided to dress for Halloween early and became GHOSTBUSTERS. It was a wild match. People tagging in members of other teams and lots of double work. Max obviously didn’t realize size matters as he was unable to lift Bathory up properly. But with a drop kick against Bathory’s back from Flyswat while Max had him part way up, was enough impact for a three count and elimination. Frankie & Traffic were about to realize that they were miles away from home in space. And with that, Team Astronomy sent him and his friend Traffic back down to earth. Their chance at Tag Team Gold was buried six feet under back on Earth. Last it was Team Astronomy and Ghostbusters left. In the world of SCI-FI it was any ones game. And unlike the films, Ghostbusters did not have a happy ending as Dacey picked up a win to a shocked Flyswat. Flyswat was frantic at how it all ended and seemed like he couldn’t come to grips with the lost. Max and Flyswat reunited back in the ring together. Despite the loss Max thought it was a good run and wanted to show sportsmanship to Flyswat. Flyswat however did not like what he considered a joke from Mr. Comic. So he attacked him and left him battered in the ring. Poor Max needed help backstage.
Winners: Team Astronomy (New Tag Team Champions)

UK vs Aust: Adam Danzig vs Iron Jay Coles
It was World War 3 and it was against two countries considered allies. But in a wrestling ring, it means war and a message to prove which was better. Danzig seem to love to hurl insults to the Australian crowd. I’m glad their was no one holding an Australian flag in the crowd, who knows what he would have done to that flag or the fan. Iron Jay however helped get Campbelltown to chant ‘Aussie Aussie Aussie OI! OI! OI!’ back at Adam, to show him this was Jay’s home turf and he wasn’t going to let him insult Australia without a fight. What a battle, both sides were gaining advantages throughout the match that it was hard to tell who was going to come on top. But in the end, the War was over and Australia was victorious. The fans celebrated with their soldier.
Winner: "Iron Jay" Coles

TNT came out to the ring to explain about his injury that led him to vacate the Australasian Championship and that tonight will be round two of the tournament to help determine its new future Champion. But he had a warning. That was his shoulder is almost better and when a winner is decided, he will go after them to regain the title that was originally his. Just when he was about to leave, he gave the crowd some shocking news. TNT is going to soon be a daddy to a little TNT.

Australasian Championship Rd 2 Tournament Bout: Massive Q vs "Mint Condition" Mick Moretti
Massive Q was big and mean and he wanted to devour his chips before trying to devour Moretti for his advancement in the tournament. That way he will be closer to his main course. The Australasian Championship. It will take quite a few chops at the tree to start gaining advantage for Moretti. And he manages to slow him down a little. However Massive Q had some help incase Moretti becomes a skilled Ax man, a woman named Harley Wonderland. Harley gave the official ref a make over with Moretti’s hat thinking it could improve his look. While the makeover was in progress Massive Q literally made a splash thanks to the distraction and stole the win.
Winner: Massive Q

Young Lion’s No 1 Contenders Bout: Scotty Club vs “The Aerialist” Adam Hoffman
What a match. When two people have worked with each other for so long it is hard to fight each other, especially when you know each others playbook. By saying that, these two were back and forward and close calls were all around. However all it takes is one mistake. Club got Hoffman in the Fireman’s carry and looked like it was all over. But Hoffman counted and got Club all partied out for enough seconds to pull off a massive Shooting Star Press that left Club stuck to the mat for the three count. Hoffman was the better man but when sportsmanship appeared between the two, it looked like they both walked away winners.
Winner: Adam Hoffman

Harley Wonderland & Selene vs Mighty Mel & Bombshell Bo
Harley Wonderland & Selene just like their theme song, tried to turn the match into a circus. They used dirty tactics that made it a nightmare for Mel and Bo. But they preserved and try to win it with a good clean fight and they gave it their all. Early on it was Selene and Bombshell facing off. Than both teams made a tag. Mel scared Wonderland quickly as she wanted to dart out the match. But Selene wasn’t at her corner. She was on the ground tying her shoe lace. Safety first. In the end a tag went unnoticed which ended up being a downfall for Mel & Bo. Both ladies were left beaten in the ring that left with Wonderland & Selene with a questionable victory. Distracting the Ref seemed to work twice tonight for The Freakshow.
Winner: Harley Wonderland & Selene

AWF Commonwealth Championship: Powerhouse Theo vs “Kizarny” Sinn Bodhi
Power versus a very unique and odd mind. It was on and the gold was going to reward the winner. It started with a very long grapple that ended up out of the ring and right back in. Theo ended up using a headlock takedown to try and dominate the freak. Bodhi thought of nipple twisting poor Theo. Theo returned the favor by nipple twisting him and throwing him to the mat by holding on to the nipples. OUCH! If it ain’t the chops that’s going to make Bodhi chest sore it the morning, it will be that! Bodhi had some strange and unique ways to try and take Theo down that it was amazing and new for the poor mammoth. But despite that, Power overcame the strange mind of Bodhi and after he slid into the ropes with his groin singing in agony, Theo decided to put Bodhi out of his misery with a powerbomb. At last he silences the crazy mind of “Kizarny”. At least for a little while.
Winner: Powerhouse Theo
