AWF "RISE UP" TOUR

Saturday August 22, Bankstown PCYC, Bankstown NSW

Adam Hoffman vs Massive Q
In the opening match Adam Hoffman attempted to use his high flying skills to defeat the massive one. After some impressive moves, including a moonsault, Adam could not kick out after Massive Q delivered a massive splash. After the match Harley Wonderland, Rigor Mortis and Zander Bathory came to the ring. Wonderland told the crowd that the AWF title will be returning to the Freakshow in the upcoming tournament. She also promised a surprise for Bombshell Bo later in the evening.
Winner: Massive Q

The AWF trainees then showed their stuff in a "rookies" match. They were having a pretty good match when they were interrupted by Ahmed Iblis. He kicked both guys out of the ring and issued an open challenge to the AWF roster. It will be interesting to see who takes up the challenge.
Result: No contest

TNT then came to the ring to once again address the fans about the tournament in the upcoming "Break Out" Tour.

Bombshell Bo vs Harley Wonderland vs Aurora
This match was already on the card, so what was the surprise Harley Wonderland had for Bo? There was a lot of double-teaming (and bickering) between Wonderland and Aurora. It almost seemed a handicap match at times as Bombshell Bo had to compete against both women. She was unable to kick out of a pin attempt by both Wonderland and Aurora. After the match Wonderland announced that Aurora was the newest member of the Freakshow. This brought them all to the ring where they attacked Bo. The Detonation Crew and Adam Hoffman came to the ring and saved Bo. The feud between the Detonation Crew and Freakshow intensifies.
Winner/s: Harley Wonderland & Aurora

Zander Bathory vs Rob "The Scientist" Best
Rob "The Scientist" Best really took it to Zander, at times with very close fall attempts. Rob again took a swig from a test tube which gave him increased strength. Have AWF officials tested what is in that test tube? During the match Zander seemed to disappear, so Rob "The Scientist" Best went looking for him. He found Zander under the ring and received a face full of blood. Zander was counted out and Rob won the match. However, due to the fact that the title can only change hands by pinfall and submission so Zander remains the champion.
Winner: Rob "The Scientist" Best via countout

Gosford Giddyups vs Astromint (Spaceboy Dacey & "Mint Condition" Mick Moretti)
The Giddyups were entertaining as usual. A fun match with Billy Flyswat and Mick Moretti rolling each other up and reversing each other, rolling around the ring. Flyswat exposed the top turnbuckle and was questioned by Max Comic after the match. Comic was obviously concerned that the victory was tainted, which is commendable.
Winners: Gosford Giddyups

Traffic vs Rigor Mortis
Traffic was accompanied to the ring by two lovely ladies and a stop/go sign which was used as a weapon on occasion. He defeated Mortis and left with the ladies.
Winner: Traffic

Powerhouse Theo vs "Iron Jay" Coles
The main event carried major hype and lived up to it. Both men took it to each other, with lots of high flying and power moves including a delayed vertical superplex from the second rope. The match was interrupted by the Freakshow which prompted the referee to call a no contest. The Freakshow attacked both Ben and Theo, which brought the rest of the locker room to the ring. Chaos reupted until TNT ordered everyone out of the ring. Theo and Ben remained in the ring, and Theo took the microphone. He said that he had great respect for Ben and it would be a privelage to have a rematch.
Result: No contest
